do you have any hopes and dreams? if so, tell me about one. if not, tell me why not.:
I do have a lot of hopes and dreams. One of my main hopes/dreams is; I want to do mission’s work. I recently got involved in an organization called Invisible Children, The Rescue. I went with one of my close friends, Kristin, to the Harrisburg location. I only stayed 2 days and one night. It really just opened my heart and made me realize what I have been ignoring and putting on the back-burner. The invisible Children organization is helping to rescue children in Uganda, Africa; that have been captured and made into child soldier’s by Joseph Kony. Joseph Kony is the leader of the Lord’s resistance Army. The horrific events and manner he is displaying on these children and the people of Uganda is so gruesome. So Invisible Children organization is helping to create peace and bring these children back to what is left of their families and end this long term war. I recently found out that the Invisible Children organization is looking for interns which they would call Roadies. Pretty much what you do to be a Roadie is go around to different places and tell the youth and people about what the Invisible Children organization is about and create awareness. This would be one of my biggest dreams to be apart of the Roadie’s and to get more involved in the Invisible Children Organization. However, it is very hard to get into the internship. It would be such a great experience. My hope is to help the needy and take myself from selfish to self-less. A modo I have been going by for a little bit now is, it’s not about me, it’s about helping others.
